Wales - Cardiff

We just came back from a week in South Wales. First we caught a bus to Cardiff. The direct bus was broken so we had to take a slower one so didn't arrive till mid-afternoon. Checked into a backpackers and had time to see one sight - the Cardiff Castle. We went on a tour through the castle, it was built in the late 1800's so much more modern than some of the castles/temples we have seen. It was cool to see and still had the ruins of some older forts on the grounds.

We had a look around the town, it was really busy as it was late night thursday christmas shopping. A pretty cool city.

The backpackers was really full, there was a Tool concert on that night so people were coming into the dorm late and it was a bit annoying. We had planned to stay in Cardiff two nights but unknown to us a big south wales car ralley was just starting and all accomodation was booked up. So we went to Swansea the next day instead, just an hour bus ride away.
